Registration Restrictions

Registration is open to any U.S. resident 18 years of age or older and residing in the lower 48 states of the United States. WinnersPitStop employees, investors, and their family members (defined as parents, spouse, siblings, and children) and any person residing in the same household as employees and investors may not under any circumstance participate in WinnersPitStop auctions.

Fairness and Honesty

It is our goal to make this site fair to all registered users. WinnersPitStip's change to our software is installed and ready for use. With this change, it does not interfere with username, user personal information, auctions, or savings that everyone has enjoyed so far.

WinnersPitStop will change the visual look of the users other then you. Each user will be assigned a log-in number during each log-in automatically. The user will continue to see their username on everything they do; however all other users will see a temporary log-in number for other users. This process will hopefully limit bidder intimidation, bidder bullying, and collusion that effects all users trying to have a great experience on this and other Penny Auction Sites.

Example:

  1. User log-in and sees their username as before.
  2. All other users or people viewing the auctions see a temporary number for each bidder bidding.
  3. Each log-in generates a new temporary username number for others to see.

How does bidding work?

You can bid by simply moving your cursor and clicking on the “Bid” button. Your bid is recorded and your user name will show up as the highest bidder. Each time you are outbid by another user you will need to click the bid button once again in order to place another bid. Each time someone bids the auction timer is reset and time is added to the clock. You can take a short break and place bids automatically by using the Bid Butler function. There is one Bid Butler per auction, unless the auction is tagged as a "Nailbiter" then there are no Bid Butlers. Bid Butlers are the user/bidders responsibility and controlled by the account holder. They should be deleted when the auction is over since they continue to run and use up resources. WinnersPitStop is not responsible for bid butler use, malfunctions, or improper setup. Use 'Bid Butlers" at your own risk.

How do I purchase bids?

After you have registered, you can purchase bids. Bids range in cost $0.65 on any size bid pack that you purchase. Bid packs are available in quantities of 25, 50, 100, 200, or 500. At this time, we accept PayPal. Bid Packs never expire. Please note that once a bid is placed in an auction, it is deducted from the user’s bid account and can no longer be refunded irrespective of whether or not the bid is successful.

How much does it cost to participate?

There are only two costs: purchase of bids in order to participate in the auction and paying the auction end price after you have won – no sales tax, no shipping fees, and no pickup fees.

I have placed a bid – Why am I not currently the highest bidder?

Our servers order the bids based on exact time they were clicked. It can happen that there may be other users that have placed a bid right after you.

How many bids does it take to win?

It depends on who else is bidding. However, you will need to plan in advance and decide how many bids you are willing to spend on each auction, especially for the chance to win a brand new vehicle, motorcycle, and ATV.

Can I bid on a future auction?

Bids can only be placed on auctions that have a timer actively counting down.

AUCTIONS

Are vehicles brand new?

All vehicles, motorcycles and ATVs are brand new and come with the full manufacturer’s warranty.

Where can I view activity of an auction?

Any time you click on an item that is up for auction, you have the ability to bid, watch the bid timer, and see a list of the 10 most recent bidders. For any vehicle auctions, you will also be able to view the window sticker and a variety of vehicle photos.

When does an auction end?

Each auction ends when the timer reaches zero and users stop bidding on an item. Our auctions are completely interest driven; some may go on for hours (vehicles) while others will end after only a few bids (gift cards and bid packs). It often depends on website traffic and popularity of the item up for auction.

Why is time added to the auction clock?

Each auction will run for a minimum of 3 minutes. The Bid Timer will start in the last 15 seconds of the first hour. Time is then added when a user places a bid in order to give other users enough time to make the decision to bid if they are interested or to buy additional bids, if necessary. The amount of time added to the Bid Timer varies depending on the time the auction has been running.

How does the Bid Butler work?

Bid Butler is an automated feature which lets you bid on an auction while not at your computer. Bid Butler automatically places bids according to the number of bids you select up to 150. You are able to turn the Bid Butler feature “on” or “off” at your discretion within "My Dash Board" under "My Bid Butlers". This is a short term feature designed for you to take a quick break or buy more bids, but still gives you a chance to stay in the auction. For some helpful hints on bidding see "Tactics and Tips".

What are the odds of winning an auction?

Every auction is unique and the results of all auctions offered on WinnersPitStop depend on the number of users participating in such auctions and the skill of the users participating in the auctions; precise odds of winning cannot be calculated.

WINNING AND LOSING

Are there auction win limits?

WinnersPitStop limits a user account to win only one vehicle in a 180-day period. WinnersPitStop limits the number of non-vehicle auctions that a single user account can win in a 28-day period to a maximum of 11 auctions and only 1 win per day. These restrictions are in place to ensure fairness for all and limit "power bidders" from shutting out other bidders. In addition, if a bidder places bids on auction(s) that exceed their winning limit, they will forfeit those bids and be suspended until the website resets the following day. An example: bidders places one bid on four different auctions within an "auction period" (12-24 hours), and bidder wins 1 auction for the day. They will forfeit the remaining bids on other auctions past the 1 win within that auction period (12-24 hours). An auction period is measured by WinnersPitStop LLC as the daily period of 03:00 pm to 03:00 am, or 03:00 pm to 00.00 am (midnight). This restriction is in place to ensure that other bidders are not trying to out bid other bidders that are no longer eligible to bid on an auction for the auction period. WinnersPitStop.com site SPECIALS can over-ride Terms & Conditions when it applies to auction win limits and bid pack prices.

Participating in WinnersPitStop.com auctions is possible with almost all PCs and smart phones with internet access; however, you will have a better experience with a high speed internet connection. We do not recommend using dial-up connections.

Bid Not Registered

Occasionally users place a bid before the countdown ended, but it did not recognize the bid. This is usually due to internet lag times or data transfer delays which happen if certain parts of the connection are overloaded. Please be aware that this can also occur when using a slow internet connection or if the connection is lost.

System Outage / Temporarily Paused Auctions

A system outage has occurred if no bids can be submitted for items due to an unforeseeable disruption in the system. In such a case, auctions will be temporarily paused and the remaining time for the auctions, current bidding price, and current highest bidder will be recorded. After the disruption has been resolved, the auctions will be continued and 10 minutes will be added to the remaining times for the auctions. For more information, please see Terms and Conditions.
